What is the MBS Case Competition?

The Melbourne Business School (MBS) Case Competition challenges you to solve real-world business problems for industry leading organisations. The competition includes workshops to enhance your skills, social mixers to connect with peers and professionals, and a case launch event where you will receive the business problem to assess. Analyse, innovate, and present your solutions to industry experts for a chance to win, gain prestige, and expand your networks.

Am I eligible?

To apply for the MBS Case Competition, you must be a current graduate student of the Melbourne Business School (Master of Management Suite, Master of International Business and Specialist Masters programs), or a student enrolled in the Master of Engineering Management and Master of Marketing Communications.

You must be enrolled in a subject in Semester 2, 2024 to be eligible to compete.

For further information about eligibility, competition structure and rules please review the Participant Rules and Guidelines. Participation in the competition is also subject to acceptance of these guidelines.

How do I apply?

Applications for the 2024 Case Competition will open on Monday 24 June 2024.

If you would like to find out more information before you submit an application, then secure a ticket here for the Information Session on the 30 July.  This is also an excellent chance for you to meet with potential teammates for the competition.

Applications will close on Sunday 4 August.


In 2024, the top four teams will receive a share of a $7,750 AUD cash prize pool, courtesy of SPP, ACCA and CFA Society Australia.
