About the Future Leaders Forum

The Future Leaders Forum is an annual event, aimed at the highest achievers in the Faculty of Business and Economics. The event features high-profile business leaders from a variety of fields and draws on their practical perspectives on leadership, drawing on the experiences of leaders from a variety of fields. A keynote address is followed by a networking session, where a discussion on leadership and other key issues in small groups.

The Future Leaders Forum was first initiated in 2007 for BCom students only. The Forum was expanded in 2020 to include MBS students.

How do I take part?

The Forum is an exclusive event targeted at students who have demonstrated academic excellence and/or achievement in leadership. These include Chancellor's Scholars (Copland Program), Abernethy Scholars, student club and society leaders, peer mentors and student leaders, and students identified for their demonstrated leadership skills and contributions to the community.

To be eligible, students must:

  • be a Bachelor of Commerce or Melbourne Business School student at the University of Melbourne
  • be in their penultimate or final year of their degree
  • have an average mark of 75 or above
  • be available for the duration of the forum

Participation in the Future Leaders Forum is by invitation only. Invitations will be emailed to eligible students.
