Exchange and Study Abroad
Melbourne Business School students can undertake overseas study for a semester or year by participating in an exchange program. This means that you trade places with a student at one of our partner universities while continuing to pay tuition fees to the University of Melbourne through your current arrangement.
You can also explore programs with our study abroad partners. This means that you enrol and pay fees directly to the host institution after getting approval from the University of Melbourne.

MBS students can also study on exchange at one of the many prestigious universities around the globe that partner with the University of Melbourne.
What can I study?
While on exchange, you can choose a sequence of subjects that fits into your study plan. You may choose to take subjects equivalent to your discipline core or electives. Our partner schools specialise in areas of business and economics including entrepreneurship, finance, management and more.
We recommend that you take the time to fully research your preferred exchange destinations and seek course planning advice to see how your overseas study will fit into your degree.
How do I apply?
You will need to start planning for your exchange approximately 12 months prior to when you would like your experience to commence. The first step towards applying for overseas study is to complete the myWorld First Steps online program.
Once you have decided to go on exchange, you can apply on the University study overseas application page.
