    Ryan has a strong background in leadership, launching innovative products, driving growth, and building high-performing teams. His career includes roles such as Director of Digital at Marriott, Head of eCommerce at Mirvac, and General Manager at Zomato, where he led teams and launched new ventures. Currently, he serves as Managing Director of shackleford, a culture company focused on strategic performance roadmaps for organisations.

    Dr Greg Nyilasy is the Doctoral Program in Marketing Director. He is a Senior Lecturer in Marketing at the Department of Management and Marketing and Fellow of the Wade Institute of Entrepreneurship at Ormond College.

  • Sangeeta Mulchandani

    New Venture Creation: Validation
    Sangeeta Mulchandani is an innovation strategist, entrepreneur, speaker, and author. She is the founder of Jumpstart Studio, where she designs innovation programs for startups and corporates, and leads the Press Play Ventures program to support women transitioning into entrepreneurship. Sangeeta is also a Lecturer at the University of Melbourne and Co-founder of Australian Professionals of Colour, a nonprofit focused on developing culturally intelligent leaders.

  • Professor Colin McLeod

    Managing Growth 

    Professor Colin McLeod is the Executive Director of the Melbourne Entrepreneurial Centre (MEC). He has a long-term interest in innovation and entrepreneurship, both as an academic and as a founder, investor and board member of several successful start-ups. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for the University’s new venture fund, the Genesis Pre Seed Fund.

  • Tom Whitford

    Marketing for Entrepreneurs
    Dr Tom Whitford is an experienced educator, academic, and learning designer with expertise in online teaching, pedagogy, and AI-driven learning design. He has worked with universities across the UK, North America, and Australia, and his research has been presented at international conferences. Tom is also a senior consultant and digital marketing strategist, focused on improving university teaching and supporting the professional development of educators.

  • Norman Azabagic

    Entrepreneurial Practice
    Norman Azabagic is an Enterprise Fellow in the Department of Management and Marketing within the Faculty of Business and Economics, where he lectures in Entrepreneurship, Intrapreneurship, and Innovation subjects. With nearly 25 years of industry experience, he was most recently Managing Director at Wave, a strategic innovation consultancy. Norman has held senior roles at IBM, Accenture, Westpac, and AMP, and has a BCom, MBA, and is completing his PhD in Innovation.

  • Professor Gerda Gemser

    The Entrepreneur Within

    Gerda Gemser, PhD, is Full Professor and Chair of Entrepreneurship at the University of Melbourne. She enjoys working together with industry professionals to generate relevant work on the management of creativity, entrepreneurship, and innovation. She teaches and gives workshops in these areas, next to publishing academic articles and books. One of her recent publications is a co-authored book on effective design leadership, published by Stanford University Press (2022).

    Emma is an experienced educator and consultant with a passion for the human side of business. She has set her sights on developing the next generation of leaders, using innovative and inclusive teaching strategies. Her academic focus is organisation design and driving value through people.

  • Attila Balogh

    Entrepreneurial Finance
    Attila Balogh is an Assistant Professor of Finance at the University of Melbourne, specialising in corporate governance, corporate finance, and biodiversity finance. He previously held positions at Cornell University and Oxford University and has a PhD in Finance from UNSW Sydney. Prior to academia, Attila was a private equity fund manager and served as an independent director on several boards.

  • Joeri Mol

    Foundations of Entrepreneurship Practice
    Dr Joeri Mol is Program Director for the Master of Entrepreneurship. His research interests include Strategic Management and Social Network Analysis. He has previously received an Outstanding Lecturer Award from the Faculty.
