MSc Marketing Management

  • Bocconi will select the successful students based on:

  • Melbourne students participating in the dual degree program at Bocconi University must successfully meet the following requirements to be awarded the MSc Marketing Management:

    • Complete nine courses:
      • Channel Marketing
      • Understanding Consumer (Module 1)
      • Behavioral Skills Seminars
      • Strategic Marketing and Analytics (Module 2)
      • Market Research and Business Forecasting
      • Innovation in the Data Economy
      • Brand Management
      • Legal Issues in Marketing
      • Enhancing Experience/Curricular Supplementary Activity
    • Complete a mandatory at least 8 consecutive weeks (paid or unpaid) full time internship in Australia, Italy or anywhere in the world. UoM students may wish to consider fulfilling the Internship requirements prior to arrival at Bocconi. The internship will have to be formally recognised and accepted by the MM director at Bocconi.
    • Write a Master's thesis supervised by a Bocconi faculty member and defended at one of the four graduation sessions available throughout the year (usually in July/October/December/March).
    • Complete two foreign language exams at Bocconi or through International certificates. (See below for more information on language requirements).
    • Attend a graduation ceremony at Bocconi University. (Students are not able to graduate in absentia).

    Please be aware that students will need to reside in Milan for 12-18 months to meet all the requirements of the MSc Marketing Management.

    Dual degree credit agreement:

    • Bocconi will award MIB dual degree students 60 ECTs towards the MSc Marketing Management degree (subject to students satisfying the requirements listed above).
    • MBS will award MIB dual degree students who successfully complete Bocconi's program requirements (listed above)  50 points credit towards the Master of International Business.
  • Bocconi language requirements for incoming dual degree students

    • At Bocconi, all students are required to pass two language exams. The first one must be English at level C1 business/General Plus for Graduate students (according to the Bocconi Language Center regulations), the second must be Italian at level A2 for non-Italian native speakers.
    • For Italian native speakers, the second language must be a language of the European Union to choose from German, French or Spanish at level B1 Business for Graduate students.
    • Language courses are offered at Bocconi for all languages. International Certificates are accepted according to the Bocconi Language Centre guidelines.
    • Bocconi MM students will follow Bocconi standard rules for the Bocconi Language exams as other MM students.

  • Melbourne students who are admitted to study at Bocconi must:

    • Continue to pay tuition fees at Melbourne while studying at Bocconi
    • Pay the Bocconi Graduate Fee of approximately €400 (subject to change) directly to Bocconi
    • Pay all costs associated with accommodation, travel and transportation, passport and visa costs, medical and travel insurance, meal expenses, text books and course materials, clothing and all other expenses incurred while completing the program.

    Note: Dual degree students must ensure they have adequate funds to support themselves for a minimum of 12 months abroad. Students should not expect to be able to supplement their income through employment while undertaking the program.
