MIB dual degree students must complete the following study plan at HEC Montréal to meet the requirements of the MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management.

- Research and Intervention in Management
- Decision Support Tools for the Operations Manager
- Comparative Perspectives on Societal Issues and Business Organisations
- 1 Compulsory activities: A supervised project PLUS taking subject, Responsible Conduct of Research: From Norms to Practice.
- 1 or 2 Optional courses of the specialisation
Supervised project
The supervised project can take many forms, including an internship, a small research project or an essay. At the end of the project, students must write a report of 60 pages including introduction, description of the company, description of the problem/project, literature review, methodology, results, and conclusion.
Supervised project - quick facts
- The supervised project is usually undertaken full-time in the Summer Semester after completion of the coursework subjects, often extending students’ stay in Montréal beyond 2 Semesters. Students should plan to be abroad for a full year (12 months) in order to meet all the requirements of the degree.
- Projects can be completed either at the university, or at an external organisation.
- Students wishing to complete their project at an external organisation in Quebec must speak French.
- The project can be completed in Australia, but must be supervised by HEC Montréal.
Dual degree credit agreement:
- HEC Montréal will award MIB dual degree students 15 HEC credits towards the MSc Operations and Supply Chain Management, subject to completing all the requirements listed above.
- MBS will award MIB dual degree students 50 Melbourne credit points towards the Master of International Business upon completion of the HEC Montréal program.

Melbourne students who are admitted to study at HEC must:
- Continue to pay tuition fees at Melbourne while studying at HEC
- Note: there are only 2 exchange places per year. Any extra places would be counted as Study Abroad with students paying fees directly to HEC.
- Pay all costs associated with accommodation, travel and transportation, passport and visa costs, medical and travel insurance, meal expenses, text books and course materials, clothing and all other expenses incurred while completing the program.
Note: Dual degree students must ensure they have adequate funds to support themselves for a minimum of 12 months abroad. Students should not expect to be able to supplement their income through employment while undertaking this program.
