MIB study plan for outbound dual degree students

To participate in the dual degree, Master of International Business students must have completed 100 credit points of their MIB and have 50 credit points remaining on their study plan at the time of departure to their host institution.

DUAL DEGREE STUDENTS FOLLOW THEIR REGULAR MIB STUDY PLAN, WITH SOME IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS:

Bocconi-bound students :

Bocconi-bound students must complete:

  • Foundation subjects (if admitted to the 200 point program)
  • Core subjects
  • Discipline Core subjects
  • One of the following Capstone subjects*
    • MGMT90148 Consulting Fundamentals
    • BUSA90485 Global Business Practicum
    • BUSA90525 Business and Economics Internship

Bocconi-bound students must not complete:**

  • IBUS90001 Global Strategy
  • 3 Elective subjects

* Note: Bocconi-bound students are  NOT eligible for the Research Option  (MGMT90206 plus 1 0ther "Advanced" subject)

** Note:  Upon completion of their studies at Bocconi, students will receive 50 points of credit towards the MIB in place of theses subjects.

HEC-bound  Students:

HEC-bound students must complete:

  • Foundation subjects (if admitted to the 200 point program)
  • Core subjects
  • Discipline Core subjects (except IBUS90008 Global Value Chains)
  • Two of any of the following Capstone subjects:*
    • IBUS90001 Global Strategy
    • MGMT90148 Consulting Fundamentals
    • BUSA90485 Global Business Practicum
    • BUSA90473 Business Practicum
    • BUSA90525 Business and Economics Internship

HEC-bound students must not complete:**

  • IBUS90008 Global Value Chains
  • 3 Elective subjects

International students

International students wishing to apply for an Australian Temporary Graduate visa upon completion of their studies should seek advice from the Department of Home Affairs or a qualified migration agent regarding the requirements for this type of visa before applying for the dual degree, as participation in the program may disqualify them. (Please note that Faculty staff are not able to advise students on any visa or immigration matters).
